Meet the Founder

The Heart Behind Sukha-Asana

Dr. Kavita completed medical school at AIIMS, India before moving to the U.S., where she trained in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Driven by a persistent sense that something was missing in conventional care, she began searching for a more complete approach to health—especially after experiencing stress-related illnesses including chronic fatigue, digestive issues, chronic pain, and burnout. Her exploration led her to Yoga and Ayurveda, a journey that transformed both her personal health and professional path. In addition to completing Yoga Teacher Training and Ayurveda Practitioner Certification, she recently earned a Master of Science in Maharishi Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.
